3 Helpful Competitive Real Estate Marketing Strategies via @homebidz

4 Amazing Strategies for Motivated Sellers

When selling your home in a hot market, the competition can be brutal. That doesn't necessarily mean that you need to wait for a better time to get the best price for your property. There are some simple tasks you can do to make sure you have an advantage in the market. Read the list below and get started today so you can get your home sold as quickly as possible.
  1. Update the Interior - It's time to fix things that are broken. While you may not notice the dirt smears on the kitchen cabinets, a potential homebuyer will. The smallest things should be fixed so that they look perfect and work as they should. The easiest way to do this is to walk through your home as though you are looking to buy it.
  2. Stage Your Home - When getting ready to sell, take a look around. Is the décor neutral? Not everyone likes bright blue bathrooms and hot pink furniture. Make sure your home is staged in a simple, sleek décor that will appeal to all types of buyers.
  3. Swap Out Your Appliances - If your current appliances are old and worn looking, it could be an eyesore that takes away from the perceived value for buyers. You can sell the appliances that you have to pay for appliance rentals or you might be able to borrow nicer appliances from a loved one and take them back when the sale is finalized. Be sure that this is understood in the contract so buyers don't assume that the appliances come with the house.
  4. Hire an Expert Photographer - Taking poor pictures of an otherwise beautiful home is going to deter people from looking in the first place. Spending an extra $50-$200 for an expert to take photos will attract potential home buyers and real estate agents.
These simple strategies can help you sell your house and surpass your competitors as you sell your home and make plans to buy a new one.
